Working Hours: 6.5 hours per week – 3 weekday evening sessions (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday); 1 weekend (Sunday evening).

Qualifications Required:  Minimum ASA Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent)


Job Summary:
Dartford District Swimming Club are seeking a Club Squad Coach to coach a junior squad with a mixed age group of swimmers, some of which are at county level.  Ideally, the applicant would have performed to a high level in swimming themselves.  Having previously gained experience at coaching all levels, the applicant would endeavour to inspire, motivate and develop our swimmers to fulfil their potential.

Dartford District Swimming Club was established in 1911; and continues to be sustained by dedicated members, coaches and helpers; this support network enabling us to maintain our SwimMark accreditation.  Our 180 members comprise of swimmers ranging from the age of 7 to Masters.  Many of our junior swimmers compete in age appropriate licensed open meets and team galas throughout the local region; our senior swimmers also compete at county and regional championships.

Dartford District Swimming Club predominantly trains at Fairfield Leisure in Dartford but also utilises other pools in the local area to meet all the training needs of our squads.

Job Description:
Plan and lead swimming training sessions for Club Squad – to continue to develop their technical ability and endurance to progress to senior squads.

  • Maintain up to date test set data for swimmers; monitor, manage and review expectations with individual squad members.
  • Provide occasional coaching support at competitions and meets.
  • Communicate effectively with coaching team, swimmers, parents and volunteers
